Biography:

Marilyn joined the Proud Ground team in September 2024, bringing a wealth of experience from a decades-long career serving NPOs in Portland and Chicago. Most recently, she led major gifts and planned giving efforts for the Midwest territory of the nation’s leading respiratory hospital. She has held fundraising/communications leadership roles at national associations, universities, and smaller NPOs.

Marilyn holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and an Executive MBA from the University of Oregon, where she received a merit-based distinction in 2020 for business concepts that create positive social impact while maintaining financial sustainability.

Having lived in eight states and raising her daughter in Portland, Marilyn calls the Pacific Northwest Home and currently resides in Vancouver.
